It was an honor to receive a Whitefish Community Foundation Community Grant of $2,086.00 last week! Flathead Rivers Alliance will leverage this grant to purchase Flathead Basin Reusable Water Cleanup Bag Stations with Leave No Trace Messaging in partnership with the Montana Waters Clearly Connected campaign. Kiosks with free grab-n-go reusable cleanup bags will make their debut, later in June, in 15 water-related retail and rental shops along with visitor centers. This will expand the annual waters cleanup event to a ‘Clean up All Year’ initiative, empowering residents and visitors to pick up litter and collect their own while enjoying the Flathead Basin’s waterways.
Reusable Cleanup Bag Sponsors: Flathead Basin Commission, Flathead Conservation District, Flathead Rivers Alliance, River Network, U.S. Forest Service, National Park Foundation
